Milestones, achieved
Following on from our final game of the season, it was a fitting occasion to celebrate both team and individual success. The Cardiff Eagles capped off a strong campaign with a win in the last match, securing the Southern Recreational Cup Division 2 title and being crowned champions.
On an individual level, two players reached major milestones for the Club. Player-coach Matt Salisbury reached an outstanding 400 points in Club colours, a testament to his consistency, leadership, and dedication over many seasons, both on the field and from the sidelines.
We also celebrated Azir Khalid bringing up 100 games for the Club, a significant milestone that reflects his commitment, reliability, and contribution week in, week out.
Congratulations to Matt and Azir on their achievements, and to the entire squad on a well-earned championship. It’s a moment the Club can be proud of and a great way to close out the season.
